New " How To Videos" Take these movements and improve your bodyparts.
Hey Everyone.
I am putting together very short training clips of " How to" These are just little tips that can really make a difference in the outcome of the muscle. These really target areas in special ways.
You have to pay close attention to the way you hold a bar, or place your feet for instance.
When working a muscle, it's not just about moving weight, you have to have some control of that way, actually you control the weight, don't let it control you.
The slower and the more controlled you are, the more muscle fibers can be hit during the movement.
It can also make you stronger in the long run and will certainly bring you those hard to get gains.

Protien Muffin Recipe as Posted on IG
Hello Everyone.
So if you follow me on Instagram at @fitnesspoynters or on Fb, then you saw these amazing looking muffins I posted up.
I made these from must playing around with some things.
I have no macro count or anything but you can add it up yourself if you desire.
Here they are and below is the recipe.
Also, be sure you check back in or subscribe to the blog for further recipe posts and if you are interested in our Holiday Savings starting on Friday morning for Black Friday.
In a mixing bowl.
Take 3 bananas, smash them up nicely , leave no chunks .
Add in up to 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
Add in up to 1/2 cup sugar free or semi sweet chocolate chips.
1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
2 tablespoons of stevia, more or less for desired sweetness.
1/2 cup , not scoop but 1/2 measuring cup of any whey protein.
I used 1/4 cup Cellucor Smores and 1/4 cup of Muscle Milk Graham Cracker.
1/2 cup of Flapjacks protein pancake powder, if you do not have this, use almond flour. 1/2 cup.
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/4 teaspoon sea salt( optional)
1/2 cup natural peanut or almond butter: Optional
Mix all the items together, the banana may make it so you don't need to add any liquid but it will really be based on your protein choice, some proteins suck up more liquid than others.
If yours is too thick, add unsweet almond milk or water.
Regular milk works if you don't care for more fats and sugars.
Spray some olive oil or coconut oil spray in your muffin pan, the chocolate chips and blueberries cause them to stick if you don't spray.
Heat your oven to 375.
Fill your muffin pans or cups 3/4 the way with the mixture.
Place in the oven, allow to cook for 12 mins.
Check them after 12 to see how they look.
I did this and cooked for an additional 3 mins.
15 mins total cook time.
Took out, allowed to cool for 15 mins.
Incredible stuff, really really moist on the inside and nice and cooked on the outside. The banana will not fully cook so you want that moisture in the middle.
Place in fridge after cooled.
Heat for 10 seconds in the microwave after removing from fridge.
Top with Walden Farms products for additional taste.
Enjoy.

Tabatha's Journey to Forever Fit.... Transformation Story
Hello everyone, I really hope you are all doing well , staying motivated, staying driven or just enjoying life for that matter.
I have a friend on Facebok who has made a really great decision in life and has made some really great progress and I asked her to write up a little something so I could share it with you guys.
I am sure many of you can relate and hopefully this will inspire and motivate you to take things to a new level in life.
We all deserve the best and the best way to make sure we live the best life and to the fullest is to get our health in check.

But today, we are sharing the story of " Tabatha Camacho" .

Here is a little insight about Tabatha...
"As a child I was always on the chunky side. That is not a surprise at all considering I lived in a house where I ate what I wanted, when I wanted. When I finished a meal I could go get something off the candy table.
Anytime throughout the day when I wanted something I just went and got it. Gravy and biscuits for breakfast, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and fried potatoes for lunch, grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and a snack of a fried chicken patty sandwich with chips before bedtime. By the time I was in high school I was pushing 230 lbs and was wearing a size 18.
I continued with this process through college, graduate school, and 2 kids. About a year after my 2nd
child I had reached a point of desperation. I was eating at most 1200
calories a day. I was running 4+ miles a day, and I was just not losing
weight. I was desperate, and my husband knew it. At that point he gave
me the best gift he has ever given me, for my birthday he gave me a gym
membership and a consultation with a personal trainer(Jim McDaniel- Glenn Fords Fitness Center/ Lexington). I really do
consider that point in my life to be when I turned a corner. I started
strength training 3 to 5 days a week and doing cardio on a regular
basis. I totally revamped my diet to include real food, as opposed to
the over processed “fat free” junk I had been eating before, and most
importantly I started seeing the changes in myself that I wanted to see.
The most beautiful part of the transformation, when you reach this
point, is that the changes that are taking place inside become just as
important as the ones you are seeing on the outside. I gained confidence
in myself and no longer placed my self worth on the number I saw on the
scale. I started to appreciate my body for the things it could do. Most
importantly I started to love myself and in the end, nothing is as
important as that."

I
knew I had a problem, I also knew I had to change. But how do you do
that, how does someone change? Looking back on it all now, I wish I
would have had some of the insight that I do now. At that point in my
life change for me was eating all the unhealthy processed food out there
that catered to dieters. If it said “low fat” or “fat free” I tried it.
I wont lie, I lost weight, I lost 40 lbs in a short time. I also lost
energy, I lost concentration, I gained health problems and in the end I
didn’t feel any better about myself than I did when I was 40 lbs
heavier. I never really liked myself or felt like I was making an
improvement on myself, even though the number on the scale was going on.

Very Excited to be Working with such a Motivated Individual... Need Motivation: Read this.
I can't say how excited I am to be working with her, she has an amazing personality, she seems as though she will be unbreakable during this new life altering journey.
It's not often I get a feeling like this but the past couple times I have, the result has been mind blowing to say the least.

Yes, this is TRUE about the scale BUT when you are over 200lbs and just 5'3", that number on the scale should NOT be over 200 lbs (even with muscle)....at least for me. Thus, why I'm currently obsessed with the scale. When I hit about 170/180, I won't care at all anymore about the scale but until then- that number means a lot. It reflects my time in the gym working out and eating right until I'm below 200. It shows my progress in the right direction. It holds me accountable. It keeps me motivated. At least that is how it is for me. To each it's own right?!?! I just see a lot of you tell me "not to worry about the scale" so I thought I would explain why I do"

Congrats To Team Poynter at the Kentucky State Show..
Good Evening or Morning.
Most of you may know by now if you follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
For those of you who do not know, well, it was a great weekend for our competitors, including myself.
We sent 8 competitors to this show, all primed and ready to do damage.
The competitors are as follows:

Each one has little chunks of things in them, such as smores has little marshmallows.
Cookie dough has cookie pieces
Corfetti has cake sprinkles.

If you register on site, you can also get free shipping.
This goes for any product on the site such as the whey, c4, Super HD, CLK etc.
1.5 scoops cellucor cor whey.
Add a little water and 1/4 scoop casein protein if you have any handy, this makes the pancakes stay really moist.
Mix it all up, you want it to remain sort of thick, not runny or it will be hard to flip.
Heat your pan, continue mixing, the cellucor gets kind of tacky so that's what you want with it.
Once your pan is heated, add in your mixed up items and allow to cook for 2-3 mins on low, flip it once you see bubbles around the outside.
Once you flip it, only allow it to cook on the opposite side for a minute or less, this will leave it really moist on the inside and that's when it's the best, ( when it's gooey).
Take 1/4 cup berries, heat them in the microwave for 15 seconds, place on top, then top with Walden Farms marshmallow and any syrup from walden farms.
And if you need fat with your protein pancake, add in a tablespoon of almond or natural pb.

Shout Out to Team Poynter Competitors on 7-12-14
Morning All.
I just wanted to send a shout out to 2 of our amazing athletes at fitnesspoynters.com .
Those girls would be Sarah Croft and Rebecca Taylor, both competing today in Texas as the Branch Warren Classic .
This will be the 2nd show for Sarah and the 1st show for Rebecca.
Both have made amazing strides in life by changing their bodies to make this happen, each very very impressive, as Sarah used to be overweight and Rebecca was really tiny with no muscle structure it seemed, well that has both changed for both and both look incredible to say the least and I am very proud to be their friends, their coach.
It's a big day for both and I just wanted to share.

2013/ 2014: Team Poynter: Bodybuilding.com Challenge Results:
It's been a quite some time since I have posted a blog in relation to fitness, I"ll do my best to get things in order and start keeping you guys up to date with what is going on around here at Fitnesspoynters.com
We'll start by saying thank all of you who joined us and took your training to a new level by joining the online challenge that Bodybuilding.com offers up every year.
Some of you know we trained the winners in 2011 and had a runner up in 2012 and we are hoping to add some more to that list this year.
We haven't gotten the results of 2013 yet but we are hoping to have several finish in the top and if we do, you can expect to hear about it right here.

Fitnesspoynters 2014 Competition Season is off to an Amazing Start: Kat Garcia & Lisa Sweet
As the 2014 Competition season gets under way. I would like to take a moment and commend 2 ladies that I have been training for quite some time now, they have both made amazing strides with progression and both competed this past weekend in California.
We would like to send a shout out to Lisa Sweet who competed in Figure Masters and brought home a 3rd place trophy.
Lisa once again proves that if you have the drive and discipline to make changes happen within your body, you can certainly do so, There is no limit on age, no limit on ones capabilities, the only thing that may hold you down is lack of discipline and that all important commitment factor.
This is Lisa's 2nd show under us and she has placed high in both shows.
We can't wait to see what Lisa does in her other shows this year.
Here you see Lisa in 2013 as well as her full transformation to get to where she is now.

She won her class and went on to win the Overall Category in Womens Figure.
Her work ethic is one that nobody, not even her husband could break if he tried, her dedication level was on the highest level possible.
The transformation she has made since day 1 has been quite amazing, she has put on so much lean muscle mass and has one of the smallest waistlines I have looked at.
I won't spend any more time talking, here are her results, from day 1 through where she is now.
Note that Day 1 from today is not after 12 weeks, the pics you see from Day 0- week 12 is when she began with us, after that we put her on another program before starting her prep.
I look forward to watching what she does in July and then what she does in the future, this girl has all the potential to take it to the next level.
