Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar & Or Aloe Vera Juice

Hello Everyone.
I hope you are all doing good and staying motivated, driven and most importantly committed to what you are doing that is going to help you reach your goals through fitness.

So , if you follow me on any social media sites, you have probably noticed I have been using and even suggesting to some to use Apple Cider Vinegar to help with their goals in becoming leaner.

I am having about 6-8 oz of vinegar per day. I take 6-7 16 oz water bottles and use those with an oz or a little over in each one I have but I add some MIO water additives or an off brand of water additive to the water and cider, by doing so, you can't really taste the vinegar at all.
* I use Braggs unfiltered cider. if you don't get the kind with the "Mother" at the bottom, it will not benefit you in ways that you are about to see.

These are quotes from other sites that have listed the benefits of the products.  Anyone I train can add this to their daily plan.

"Apple cider vinegar is a helpful health tonic that has shown promise in helping diabetes, cancer, heart health, high cholesterol, and weight loss, and for years people have used apple cider vinegar as a folk remedy to lower fever and aid indigestion. Reach for apple cider vinegar to cure everything from the hiccups to common cold symptoms." Via Readers Digest Online & Kitches Cures
I quote everything I am about to post!

1. Apple cider vinegar helps tummy troubles.

"Sip some apple cider vinegar mixed with water. If a bacterial infection is at the root of your diarrhea, apple cider vinegar could help contain the problem, thanks to its antibiotic properties. What's more, some folk remedy experts contend that apple cider vinegar contains pectin, which can help soothe intestinal spasms. Try mixing one or two tablespoons into water, or clear juice like apple juice.

2. Apple cider vinegar cures hiccups.

Take a teaspoonful of apple cider vinegar. Its sour taste could stop a hiccup in its tracks.

3. Apple cider vinegar prevents indigestion.

Sip before eating, especially if you know you're going to indulge in foods that will make you sorry later. Try this folk remedy: add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water and drink it 30 minutes before you dine.

4. Apple cider vinegar clears a stuffy nose.

Mix a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink. This helps sinus drainage.

5. Apple cider vinegar soothes a sore throat.

As soon as you feel the prickle of a sore throat, employ germ-busting apple cider vinegar to help head off the infection at the pass. Turns out, most germs can't survive in the acidic environment vinegar creates. Just mix ¼ cup apple cider vinegar with ¼ cup warm water and gargle every hour or so.

6. Apple cider vinegar beats exhaustion.

Exercise and sometimes extreme stress cause lactic acid to build up in the body, causing fatigue. Interestingly, the amino acids contained in apple cider vinegar act as an antidote. What's more, apple cider vinegar contains potassium and enzymes that may relieve that tired feeling. Next time you're feeling beat, add a tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar to a glass of chilled vegetable drink or to a glass of water.

7. Apple cider vinegar cuts down on nighttime leg cramps.

This old folk remedy is worth a try: add 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and a little honey to a glass of water and drink to ease nighttime leg cramps. Of course, by the time you walk to the kitchen to put the drink together, your cramp is likely to be history—but maybe that's the point.

8. Apple cider vinegar whitens teeth.

Gargle with apple cider vinegar in the morning. The vinegar helps remove stains, whiten teeth, and kill bacteria in your mouth and gums. Brush as usual after you gargle. You can also brush your teeth with baking soda once a week to help remove stains and whiten your teeth; use it just as you would toothpaste. You can also use salt as an alternative toothpaste. If your gums start to feel raw, switch to brushing with salt every other day."

What are the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar?
  • "Rich in potassium, a mineral that is often times lacking in adult diets. This mineral is key for growth, building muscles, transmission of nerve impulses, heart activity etc. It also helps to prevent brittle teeth, hair loss and runny noses.
  • Rich in acetic acid. This acid is said to slow the digestion of starch which can help to lower the rise in glucose that commonly occurs after meals.
  • Rich in ash which gives ACV its alkaline property. This aids your body in maintaining proper pH levels for a healthy alkaline state. (It is particularly important if you drink a lot of coffee or wine.)
  • It can help regulate blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol.
  • Rich in malic acid which gives ACV its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
  • May help improve bowel irregularity and helps to remove toxins from the body at a faster rate.
  • It can help clear up skin conditions and blemishes.
  • ACV helps with weight loss by breaking down fats so that your body can use them rather than store them.
  • A few lab studies have found that ACV may be able to kill cancer cells or slow their growth."
The above was from "Eatingbirdfood.com

Aloe Vera Juice:
Via Fitsugar.com
"After reading about aloe vera's healing benefits, I decided to pick up a bottle. Forewarning: aloe vera juice has a strong pungent taste, so if you can't cope with taking it straight, mix it in your morning smoothie or add it to a fruit drink. The recommended serving of this non-toxic beverage is one teaspoon after meals. Although the juice is reputed to help with asthma and boost immune system, keep reading to see what it has been proven helpful for.

Curing constipation: Aloe vera juice encourages the bowels to move and helps with elimination if a person is constipated. After sipping the juice, it takes about 10 hours for aloe to get things going. Be careful about relying on this cure, using aloe for a long time can be dangerous for the lining of the intestines.

Blood sugar level: Early research suggests that aloe vera juice can help lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. However, more thorough testing is needed to determine how beneficial aloe is in the situation, since studies have had conflicting results.

Lower cholesterol: Although the data is considered insufficient to support this claim, there is a small amount of evidence that suggests taking aloe orally can lower cholesterol. Once again, more studies are needed to see if aloe fulfills this promise.
Drinking aloe vera has not been shown to strengthen the immune system, nor is there any evidence to suggest aloe can cure ulcers or reduce inflammation and pain."
Continued via : http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/health-risks-benefits-taking-aloe-vera-juice-internally-5017.html
"Aloe vera juice contains leaf pulp that is rich in natural nutrients and fiber. This well-known herbal remedy for the skin also has many benefits for internal healing, cleansing and repair when ingested as a nutritional drink. However, it can cause adverse side effects and reactions and should only be taken as directed. Do not consume aloe vera that is not made for internal, use and consult your doctor before self-medicating for any reason.

Digestive Benefits

Aloe vera contains nutrient compounds that help to heal and soothe the skin when used externally. It may also have similar benefits on the lining of the digestive tract, when ingested as a drink. A review published in the "British Journal of General Practice" notes that aloe vera decreases irritation and enhances healing and repair of ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Aloe vera juice also helps to decrease inflammation in irritable bowel syndrome, colitis and other inflammatory disorders of the gut. Additionally, aloe vera can increase healthy bacteria in the intestines that aid digestion.

Immune Benefits

Research published in the "Journal of Environmental Science and Health" notes that aloe vera contains anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties that aid the immune system to cleanse the body of toxins and invading pathogens. Additionally, aloe vera helps to balance the immune system to reduce the effects of seasonal allergies, rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory immune disorders.

Heart Benefits

Taking aloe vera internally may also help improve blood circulation in the body. A clinical study published in the medical journal "Angiology" reported that aloe vera may help decrease total fat levels in patients with high cholesterol. This helps to reduce fatty deposits and blood clots in the arteries of the heart and body. The research noted that patients with diabetes showed the highest improvement in cholesterol level; however, the exact mechanism of these benefits are not yet determined.

Diarrhea Risk

The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center warns that drinking aloe vera can cause adverse effects such as diarrhea. This occurs because aloe juice and aloe latex contain a substance called anthraquinone, which is a laxative. Severe diarrhea can cause pain, cramping and dehydration. Consult your doctor or nutritionist before ingesting this herb and do not consume aloe vera that is not produced for internal use.

Drug interactions

Like other herbal supplements, taking aloe vera internally can cause adverse interactions with prescription and over-the-counter medications. Aloe vera may inhibit or increase the effects of some drugs, according to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. For example, it may increase the blood-sugar-lowering effects of some diabetes medications and may cause potassium loss if taken with water pills or diuretics for heart conditions."
So there you have a few benefits from each of these items.
You can find Braggs unfiltered Cider at almost any local grocery store.
You can find the Aloe Vera Juice at many stores also or you can get it from amazon.com

Thanks everyone.
Have a great day.

What I Have Learned So Far.......by Angelina Stewart.

This is a blog post courtesy of Team Poynter aka Fitnesspoynters.com member
Angelina Stewart.

You can find out more about Angelina at the following link which is her bodybuilding.com / bodyspace account.
Angelina's Bodyspace Profile

"I don't like to read long blogs so I'll keep it brief - was thinking about how I've changed this past year and thought about some of the things I've really learned about myself along the way - maybe this will help somebody else."

1.   It really is just Me against Me – I’m my biggest
fan, my worst enemy, my biggest critic, my best motivator. Don’t laugh! You
know it’s true for you too! I’ve learned that the occasional outside motivator
is ok – but it’s who you REALLY are that’s gonna see you thru to the next
level.

2.     2.  I’ve learned NOT to avoid the exercises that I
hate. I used to hate bicep curls – but as I increase in strength I feel like a
total bad@ss! I felt bad@ss curling 20 lbs 3 times – now I’m at 30lbs for a
full 3 sets – and still feel like a bad@ss! Now it’s shoulder presses – 20 lbs?…..
ugh! Getting stronger is a pure motivator – nobody did that but me. I always
try to go a little more every time I hit the gym. I’m only competing against
myself – and I know I have it in me.

3. 3. I am not like everyone else – I’m set apart –
there is something different about me. I let it shine thru my personality, my
walk – why not my body too? Why not my eating habits? I read a blog from
doinmiabs on here and he was talking about going to the store buying organic
strawberries and such – and people with their cart full of crap were looking at
him like he was the freak – the helped change my mindset!

4. 4.   I’m a person of influence. You never know who is
watching you – or listening to you. I like that by just being me I motivate
others. My daughter and son have now joined me in this new healthy lifestyle.

5.    5.  When I need TRUE motivation I listen to songs
that build me up on the inside. Like “Tonight” by Toby Mac. That song really
helps me to pull from within and set my mind. It reminds me of that “thing” on
the inside that so badly wants to see me make it to the other side. There are
other songs – Pantera ( A new level – of confidence and POWER!! – love that)
And then when I’m just in a funky mood there’s always Fergie’s London Bridge J

6.  6.     I’m past the “I just want to look good” mindset
or “I wanna be sexy”. I haven’t yet reached my goals but I already look good –
I’m already sexy! It’s how I walk, talk, and conduct myself. It’s in the
confidence I have – and that confidence is growing. And yes – I feel like
wonder woman most of the time – I don’t care what you think or what you say. I
am the best me I’ve ever been!

Those are just a couple things :)

Lisa Powers Discusses "Obstacles"

This blog post is courtesy of Miss Lisa Powers who has made one of the most amazing transformations I have ever witnessed and we have had the honor to be by her side every step of the way.

In this post, Lisa talks about "Obstacles" that you have to be able to overcome in order to make the most out of what is available to you.

Lisa Powers Bodyspace Profile (Follow link)

Lisa Powers Facebook page: Figure Athlete

"Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there
is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles.
Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing
difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes
your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone
else."

~ Brian Tracy

"My journey was full of
obstacles. The biggest one was my mind. I had so much hate and disgust towards
myself that is was overwhelming at times. SUCCESS WAS MY ONLY OPTION.

I made the decision to
change. I started being more active and cleaned up my nutrition a little. In 3
weeks, I dropped 7 pounds and for the first time in a long time I was feeling a
bit proud of myself. Then, I ruptured my achilles. I was starting my morning
with a nice jog on a trail and tore half of it off the bone. For two weeks, I had a pity party. I didn’t
understand how this could happen now. I was doing so good. I was on my way….and
now THIS?!?

One night I was sitting
watching tv and just thought I can’t be like this….I can’t NOT do anything. The
pity party was over. I headed to the gym with the knee high medical boot and
all. I lifted back that night (one of my favorites), giving myself a pep talk
as I left the gym. “That wasn’t so bad.
At least I didn’t sit at home. I can come back tomorrow and try some more. This
will be okay. I can at least do this.”

From there, I stayed
consistent. Through my 10.5 month transformation I experienced a strained back,
torn intercostal muscles, and then re-tore them 12 weeks later. This time is
was much worse. I couldn’t stand up straight for 2 weeks and ended up taking 4
weeks off from any exercise. I kept tight to my nutrition and my weight
continued to decrease even with the lack of exercise.

Once I started exercising
again, I was plague with a dull, chronic shoulder pain for 7 months. I pushed
through even with the discomfort. It finally became too painful to sleep and
went to get it checked out. It was an inflamed shoulder, suprasinats and bicep
tendon
. Physical therapists did an ultrasound and a couple rounds of a steroid
patch. Within in 1.5 weeks I was pain free. Still modified my workouts so as
not to inflame in again. I wish I would have gotten it check out much sooner.

I never set out to lose over
80 pounds. I had many false starts in the years before. The difference this
time was that the pain of all those injuries was nothing compared to the pain of being obese.
My journey was filled with mental and emotional trials as
well. I could have quit at anytime when those obstacles were set in front of
me. I just hung on and kept moving forward.

Success was my only option.

You can do it.

You are worth it."

Weight Loss vs Fat Loss

Why I believe the approach to fat loss is much better than when someone is only looking for weight loss.
The effects of weight lifting and eating multiple times per day with very high protein foods vs the effects of barely eating anything and doing tons of cardio.

Lets start with weight loss and the "Im not gonna eat approach".

When you go hours and hours with little to no eating, you are seriously depriving your body of very very important nutrients you receive from different foods. There are so many things you need from eating that it's hard to really list them all. But some of the most important that come from eating are the following.
Eating little to no foods will cause your body to very poor bowel movements, it can really play a roll in how your kidneys function, not just at the present time but over the entire length of your life.
Taking in little to no foods per day can really decrease the brains function, it makes it hard to think clearly and to make wise and smart decisions.
There are so many harmful things that it can do to your body that I really can't list them all.

Another thing it really hurts is your muscle , when you don't eat and you try to do something to get active, sure you may lose weight but the weight loss will be in the form of water weight and you will also be losing muscle mass due to your body storing fats rather than burning them. Your body will start pulling it's energy sources from muscle over fat due to your body having to have fat on it to survive, so what it does when you actually decide to eat something is, it'll take those foods and store them into fat cells because it has no clue when you are going to eat again and it will go into protection mode by making sure that you aren't going to starve yourself to death.

I don't want to say you will never lose fat by not eating because eventually at some point, your body will not allow any more muscle to be burned up so therefore , it will have to start eating on fat.

It's easy to see those who go after weight loss in this way. They seem to all have "saggy skin" all over the body really, from the face down to the legs. They have droopy/ sagging skin on the face, lots of layers of skin hanging off their bellies, black spots under the eyes and just all in all they look really unhealthy, even though they may feel healthy. You can damn well bet they aren't .

I don't want to say you won't see sagging skin in some people because there are plenty of people who are overweight who do things the right way and lose a ton of fat and weight but these are your really really obese individuals.

Now we get to eating multiple times of day with high protein foods, healthy fats and the right amount of carbohydrates.

I like to have individuals eat every 2.5-3 hours while taking in those healthy foods that are high in those proteins, fats, carbs etc.
You're now getting tons of nutrients and vitamins at a timely manner each day and when you do this, your body knows that you aren't starving it, you are feeding it, probably more than you ever have , so when it recognizes this, your metabolism starts to speed up, you start to see your body changing in that healthy manner.
With your body knowing a meal is coming to it and it's the right foods, it can take that fat and use it for fuel rather than using muscle for fuel because again, it knows you aren't starving it, so there is no need to store those foods as fats.

When you add in weight training with this style of eating, you can expect drastic changes with your body.
You will add lean muscle mass and the more lean mass you pack on, the quicker your body will burn up that fat. You can even get to the point where, when you are just sitting around or sleeping, your body is still burning up fat.

Weight training will cause lots of fat loss, inches lost etc but it may not make the scale change and this is due to the point of you putting on this lean muscle and cutting that body fat.
Muscle weighs so much more than fat , that when you pack that lean mass on, you may not see the scale move or it may even go up at 1st. This doesn't mean you are getting fat, this means absolutely nothing bad what so ever. All it means is that you are changing in ways that is 100% healthy for your body.
One should never stress out over this when you know you are eating right, training hard etc.

When you weight train to drop your body fat. You won't see sagging skin, you won't get a drooping face, you wont' have spots under your eyes. You'll see muscle cuts come out, if you get lean enough, you can see your abs come in. Keep getting leaner and you can see your veins popping out in different areas.
All signs of great things happening with your body. The signs that you are on the right track to your goals.

There you have my thoughts on changing your body the right way.

I must say I am not saying it's good to quit doing cardio, you should still do some, just don't make it the focal point of your workouts. Start doing some weight training, it's not boring, it's harder than cardio and if it's harder, that means that you can see results in a quicker time than you would from doing cardio alone.
So if you were doing 30 mins cardio, replace the 30 mins cardio with 20 mins weight training and then finish off with 10 mins cardio.

I guarantee you that you will see greater results and won't be bored to death while getting those results to come your way.

Consistency, Drive and Determination : The ingredience to Success!

First off I hope everyone is doing really well and all of you in the states are ready for the summer time to light us up.......

I wrote a little something on Facebook today and I just wanted to share it with more people and give you all something to think about when it comes to who you may blame for something that isn't going the way you want it to.

Sometimes I wonder why some people get mad and act like its someone else's fault they don't see results. It's easy to see who is consistent and who isn't. I know everyone is different and things may take longer etc but I give an alter whatever I see needed for them to progress .

If we didn't have all these transformations and only had a couple, I'd take the blame all day long but when u work w people all over the world from all walks of life , all different living situations , some without luxuries we have available to us.

With that said, I know all things are possible w fitness, it's the individual who has to put in the work, the time and be committed and determined to get things accomplished. If you can't do that with us, how can anyone help you. Helping yourself had to happen before anything else ever will.
It's a LIFESTYLE!!

Take Control!!

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good evening to some.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone that shared the info about the Mothers Day Special we just ran . It was a great success and I look forward to seeing what so many that jumped on this deal can do with the plan they were given.

For future reference, we will be doing something very similar to this for Fathers Day. Be on the lookout for a blog post letting you know when this will happen.

Now onto the object of the post......

Nobody can force you to do anything in life, especially not what to eat and how to eat or how hard you should go in the gym. This decision has to be your own, you have to want this for yourself and nobody else.
You may have supporters, but you can't always count on them to be there to push you to do this or that. You control your intake of foods, you control what you do with your body in the gym.
There isn't a reason to try to blame someone or something that you are thinking caused you to fall off the track that leads to your goals.

We all go through things in life that may cause us to get down and yes, these things can effect your workouts, it can cause you to miss a meal here and there and that's all part of life and you certainly can't do anything about it but you have to pick yourself up immediately and dust yourself off and get back on track, especially with the meals. The workouts are not nearly as important as the meals are.
I say this all the time and it's true, eating is 80% of how you progress, many of you can probably see that now.
This is a post I put up on facebook today, some of you have already saw this but from the feedback I got , I think it is something that more than a few people should be reminded of.

Thank you all for reading and sharing...

New Testimonials On Site!

In need of some motivation? Can't find the desire or determination to get on the right track with fitness?
Checkout the amazing testimonials I put up today at fitnesspoynters.com . You can find the newest at page 10 and 11 then you can view the gallery for multiple shots of these transformations ( side comparisons, front , rear comparisons and flexing poses).
99% of these people are right here on fb or at least bodyspace, and none of these people would mind you asking them how to find a focus and stay driven.

We all have it in us to make incredible changes through fitness. Some don't just need it to look better, some need it to prolong their life or fight off an illness that could take them at an early age.
Working out and eating clean isn't hard to do if you surround yourself with positive influences and stay away from those who want to bring you down day after day.
These people are most often your family members and closest friends.
They would prefer to see you stay in bad shape like they may be rather than see incredible changes in your body and getting all those uplifting comments .

We have one life, we should all make the most of it.

Leading this Team to Hardware at Shows!

Once again we improve our track record of helping team members bring home hardware from bodybuilding shows.
This weekend, on the date of March 16,2013 . Jesse Westburgh entered the 2013 Northern Kentucky Bodybuilding Championships . This is one of the hugest shows in Kentucky and has been for many years. There have been multiple pros who got started on that stage and there have been a couple who have qualified for Nationals by competing in this show.

With that said, we congratulate Jesse with a huge win in the Lightweight Novice class and a very close decision in the "Overalls" in novice.
We congratulate him on getting a 3rd place finish in the Welterweight division, another division that could have went 3 ways.
I thought all the top 4 guys looked spot on , very hard, cut , dry, perfect tans and fabulous posing.

I just wanted to share the info on how we can help someone show prep and be successful at it.
In 2012 we lead several in figure, bikini and physique to very high placings in shows, including one physique member turning pro.
We have helped multiple members get on stage for the 1st time and place very high. I'm not sure of any competitors we have trained that stayed dedicated and driven that didn't get a top 5 finish in multiple categories.

So if you are ready to hit the stage, hit us up at http://www.fitnesspoynters.com I have reasonable prices, offer payment planning and I'm always here to answer questions and even give you posing tips by watching you pose via skype.

Thanks once again, everyone have a fabulous week .
Stay on point, stay driven and determined , take things day by day, hour by hour, meal by meal and workout by workout and before you know it, you have completely transformed your body.

Commitment, Drive and Self Discipline Can take you Places!

We love to help people change their lives with fitness at fitnesspoynters.com but we really want you to be ready to have the drive and determination to make changes happen before you go drop a dime on a plan.
I really see no point in anyone spending money on something they don't know if they will use.
People should also know that changing your life through fitness is very hard to do because there are so many people out there that want to see you fail.
They love to see you fail because in turn, they are a failure themselves so why would they be happy with seeing a friend or family member accomplish something they were too lazy to accomplish themselves?

If you have it in you to take things day by day, hour by hour, workout by workout and most importantly , meal by meal and know that it takes time for the body to start seeing changes and that this process doesn't happen overnight. Then you will be well on your way to seeing a happy, healthier you.
We all have one life, make that life worth living. Get outside and have fun with your children, grandchildren, brother or sister etc.
You would be shocked as to how much better you would feel shall you make a commitment to changing your life through fitness, no matter how many doubters and Debby Downers you have roaming through your life.

For those of you who have found this drive and determination within yourself and you are ready to make the commitment to change your life for whatever reason through fitness.  Take a moment and check us out at
http://www.fitnesspoynters.com  .

If you see someone who has inspired you and you want to talk to this person to see how they did it, just contact me and I will make sure it's ok to put you in contact with them and that way you can get some insight as what to expect during and after your transformation.

CONFESSIONS OF A FITNESS FREAK: FitnessPoynters.com Transformation Spotlight #1

Off Season Body Image: Lisa Powers

Hey Guys,
Once again, Lisa Powers has written a really good blog talking about some important issues in regards to competitors dealing with off season struggles.

http://www.bodyspace.com/missteacher

"I was happy with myself before I decided to compete. I knew a competition body was temporary. Right now, I'm feeling good about my off-season body. Do I sometimes wish it looked different...Sure. However, I'm focused on my future and what it takes to reach those goals.

There seems to be a disconnect with a competitor knowing the process of getting ready for a competition and then how to respond after a show. I keep reading comments from competitors who are struggling mentally with their off-season body. I fell into that trap a few weeks ago. I had to revisit the facts of what I was doing and why.

I need to build muscle now to bring a better physique to the stage. I cannot do that in a deprived, over-trained state. My body doesn't look like my stage body, and it shouldn't. A competitor should not compare their current body to their stage body. Instead compare it to their most recent pre-contest body.

prog01.12.jpg

Here are my stats:

Pre-contest  135#     19%bf     size 6

Contest 119#     12%bf     size 2

Current 145#     20%     size 4

Things to take note:

1. Solely looking at weight, I am much heavier than my stage weight. However, I'm only up 10# form pre-contest.

2. Since I have been on a mass building plan since my competition that seems like a normal thing to happen.

3. Also, my jean size is smaller than my pre-contest. Which I think, shows the muscle I am gaining is reshaping my body.

What I have been doing:

1. I keep my nutrition in check with various types of carbs (corn, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, oats). I have a Treat Meal once a week of anything I want. Once every couple of weeks, I might have a sugary treat. I don't deprive myself of anything. I'm not DIETING - I'm eating HEALTHY!

2. I have done cardio only 4 times in the last four months since my competition.

3. I lift as HEAVY as I possibly can with every workout....5-6 days a week.

Below is a video on the very topic:

Mentality is everything. If you are strong enough to go through everything to get on stage, then you are strong enough to alter your perception of your off-season body. "

You can do it. YOU ARE WORHT IT.
